Through its fully owned company Isotta Fraschini Motori s.p.a. With headquarters and factory in Bari – Italy, Fincantieri Marine Systems produces two families of modern high speed diesel engines which cover a range from 200 to 2800 KW for both marine and industrial applications. 
• The family IF1700 comprises 8 to 16 cylinder models, 90° Vee arranged on a high-tensile alloy cart iron crankcase. This engine family is built on a modular concept basis
• The IF1300 family consists of a six-cylinder in-line unit and eight and twelve-cylinder 90° Vee models. With common 130 mm bore, the inline engine has a stroke of 142 mm, whilst that of the vee engines is reduced to126mm. The in-line engine has a displacement of 1885 cm³, the vee engines a displacement of 1672 cm³ per cylinder. The IF1300 engines, having an impressive power to weight ratio, are highly standardised and extremely reliable units of modular type
• Both families are updated by adopting high pressure common rail (hpcr) electronic injection system
