Diesel engines generator sets
Fincantieri Marine Systems offers a complete range of diesel generators from 200 to 2200 KW with diesel engines designed and produced by isotta fraschini motori (IFM). Isotta Fraschini Motori S.p.A. Is part of the Fincantieri group (the headquarters and factory are based in Bari – Italy).
The company produces two families of modern high speed diesel engines to be used as generators that cover a range from 200 to 2200 kw for both marine and industrial applications.
Mention can be made in particular to its non-magnetic engines and generating sets, for use in mine-hunting vessels, which have gained the leadership of the world market, counting among their users also the united states navy.
For industrial applications there are two series of radiator cooled engines. The 1300 series in the 6 inline and 8, and 12 “vee” configuration with powers from 200 KW to 1200 KW and the 1700 series in the 8, 12, and 16 “vee” configuration with powers from 700 KW to 2800 KW. Thanks to the research in the use of renewable fuels, such as vegetable oils, to run the engines in place of diesel fuel, ifm is able to offer a complete range of ‘’green generators’’ with renewable fuels. All isotta fraschini industrial engines can be used for:
