AGREEMENT WITH CELEBRITY CRUISES TO REFURBISH THE CRUISE SHIP “CENTURY”
Fincantieri has reached an agreement with Celebrity Cruises (Royal Caribbean Cruises Group) to refurbish the cruise ship “Century”. This is the largest intervention the ship owner has ever ordered. The work, due to start at Palermo shipyard in Spring next year, will be carried out in the record time of five weeks.

FINCANTIERI: AGREEMENT WITH CARNIVAL FOR SIX –SHIP DEAL WORTH OVER 3 BILLION DOLLARS
Fincantieri and Carnival Corporation & plc have reached an agreement to build six ships, two of which options, for four of the Group’s brands. The agreement, including options, is worth over 3 billion dollars to the owner and comprises the construction of:
• for Holland America Line, at Marghera shipyard, a 86,000-ton vessel with a passenger capacity of 2,044, the largest ever built for the brand, expected to enter service in summer 2008. There is also an option for a sister ship scheduled to debut in spring 2010;

ITALIAN COMPANY FINCANTIERI FORMS NEW COMPANY IN U.S.: FINCANTIERI MARINE SYSTEMS NORTH AMERICA, INC. FDGM, INC. TO BE ABSORBED IN NEW VENTURE
CHESAPEAKE, VA – Italian shipbuilding powerhouse Fincantieri has formed a new company, Fincantieri Marine Systems North America, Inc. FDGM, Inc., the U.S.-based subsidiary of Fincantieri, will be absorbed by this new company.
The establishment of this new company is part of the vision of the Fincantieri CEO Giuseppe Bono to enlarge its presence in the global maritime market.

FOUR COSTA CROCIERE SHIPS TO BE DRY-DOCKED BY FINCANTIERI ALLIANCE CONSOLIDATED BETWEEN THE EUROPEAN CRUISE LEADER AND THE WORLD’S LEADING CRUISE SHIP BUILDER
Between November and January Fincantieri will do maintenance work on four of Costa’s ships: the Costa Atlantica, Costa Fortuna and Costa Europa will be dry-docked in Palermo; the Costa Victoria in Genoa.
Major upgrading planned for the Costa Europa.
The Palermo shipyard is also building the fore end section of the Costa Serena, the fleet’s new flagship to be delivered in May 2007.

FINCANTIERI WINS CONTRACT TO UPGRADE THE FRIGATES “SAGITTARIO” AND “PERSEO” FOR THE PERUVIAN NAVY
Fincantieri has won a contract to upgrade the “Lupo” class frigates “Sagittario” and “Perseo” for the Peruvian Navy. The two ships, currently berthed at the Naval Dockyard at La Spezia, will be delivered to the Peruvian Navy in the second half of 2006.

Fincantieri launches the “Andrea Doria”
Today at Fincantieri’s shipyard at Riva Trigoso (Genoa) there was the ceremony to launch the “Andrea Doria”, the first of two “Orizzonte” class ships ordered by the Italian Navy from Fincantieri under a contract signed in October 2000, within the framework of an agreement between Italy and France to build four vessels, two for each Navy.

TALLINK ORDERS TWO CRUISE FERRIES FROM FINCANTIERI
Fincantieri and Tallink today signed a contract to build two new generation, high performance, ice-class cruise ferries, one of which is an option.
Tallink, the leading Estonian ferry operators and one of the most important in the Baltic area, runs regular services connecting Estonia with Sweden and Finland.

FINCANTIERI: PRESTIGIOUS ORDER FROM THE NORWEGIAN OWNER OVDS
Fincantieri has gained an order from the Norwegian owner OVDS to build a new ship for delivery in Spring 2007. This contract is worth approximately 70 million euros. The ship embodies special features and has been designed for summer cruises in Greenland and winter sailing on the Hurtigruten or Coastal Express route which has operated for over a century along the Western coasts of Norway.

FINCANTIERI UNVEILS ITS FIRST NEW CONCEPT DESIGNS DEVELOPED WITH BENETTI
Benetti and Fincantieri are following up the announcement of their partnership agreement of October 2004, with presenting new concept designs for yachts over 70 metres.
In fact, since the agreement was signed the two Companies, with an ideal level of mutual understanding, started developing and implementing the key elements on which the partnership is based which constitute the cornerstones of a proactive marketing policy.

FINCANTIERI: RESULTS FROM THE FIRST SIX MONTHS 2005 CONFIRM THE COMPANY IS SOUND
Today the Board of Fincantieri met to examine the results from the first six months of 2005 which report a pre-tax profit of 51.2 million euros (79 million euros in the first six months of 2004), in line with the forecasts which took into due consideration on the one hand the delivery of fewer passenger ships (two, compared to four in 2004) and a different product mix, and on the other hand a series of factors such as the continuing depreciation of the dollar, an increase in the cost of materials, especially steel, and in the costs of energy and insurance.

THE CAR-CARRIER “NEPTUNE THELISIS” IS LAUNCHED IN PALERMO
Today at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Palermo there was the launch of the car-carrier Neptune Thelisis”, which was ordered, together with her sister ship “Neptune Okeanis”, by the Greek ship owning company, Neptune Lines, in October 2003. The “Neptune Okeanis” was also built in Palermo and entered service in July this year. Delivery of the “Neptune Thelisis” is scheduled within 2005.

COSTA CONCORDIA, THE LARGEST ITALIAN CRUISE SHIP, IS LAUNCHED IN GENOA
Today, at Fincantieri’s Sestri Ponente shipyards, the new Costa flagship
took to the sea for the first time. The main innovation will be “Samsara Spa”, a 1,900 m2 wellness center extending over two decks, the largest of its kind ever built on a passenger ship.

FINCANTIERI TO BUILD FERRIES FOR TALLINK
Fincantieri and Tallink have reached an agreement to build two new generation, high performance, ice-class cruise ferries, one of which as an option. The ships’ main features are: 36,000 gross tonnes, 2,000 passengers, 200 cabins, a speed of 29 knots, loading capacity of 2,000 lane meters.

THE “CARNIVAL LIBERTY” PRESENTED AT MONFALCONE
Today at Fincantieri’s shipyard at Monfalcone there was the presentation of the passenger ship “Carnival Liberty”, built for the American ship owner Carnival Cruise Lines (Carnival Group), the world’s leading cruise operator.
The ship, which follows the “Carnival Conquest” and the “Carnival Glory”, delivered in October 2002 and June 2003, and the “Carnival Valor”, presented in November 2004, is the fourth in a series of sister ships derived from the “Carnival Destiny” class, and was built in record time - just 24 months (7 in the workshop, 9 in the building dock and 8 at the outfitting pier).

THE FERRY “FINNSTAR” IS LAUNCHED AT CASTELLAMMARE DI STABIA
Today at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Castellammare di Stabia there was the launch of the ro-pax ferry “Finnstar”, under construction for the Finnish shipping company, Finnlines.
A leading European ship owner, Finnlines works mainly in North Europe and the Baltic Sea; as well as its traditional shipping activities (carried out by its fleet of 70 ships), the company also works in the field of port services (management of terminals, cargo handling etc).

THE CAR-CARRIER “NEPTUNE OKEANIS” IS PRESENTED
Today at Palermo there was the presentation of the car-carrier “Neptune Okeanis” , built by Fincantieri for Neptune Lines. Present at the ceremony were the Minister for Regional Affairs, Enrico La Loggia, the ship owner, Nikos Travlos, and, for Fincantieri, the Chief Executive Officer, Giuseppe Bono, and the Deputy Chairman Roberto Tana.

The Shareholders’ Meeting of Fincantieri, which was held today in Trieste, has approved the financial statement for the year ending 31st December 2004; the statement reports a net profit of 99.5 million euros compared to 90.7 in 2003 (pre-tax profit amounts to 149.1 million euros compared to 82.8 the previous year).

GRIMALDI GROUP NAPLES ORDERS 4 SHIPS FROM FINCANTIERI
Grimaldi Group Naples, through its companies Industria Armamento Meridionale (INARME) and Grimaldi Compagnia di Navigazione (GRINAVI) has ordered four ships from Fincantieri, with an option for a further two. The overall value of the order, excluding options, is approximately 360 million Euros.

THE CRUISE SHIP “ARCADIA” PRESENTED AT MARGHERA

PRESENTATION OF THE FERRY, “SHARDEN”, BUILT BY FINCANTIERI FOR TIRRENIA
Today at Castellammare di Stabia (Naples) there was the presentation of the cruise ferry “Sharden”, built by Fincantieri for Tirrenia di Navigazione. “Sharden”, which was launched on 25th September 2004, belongs to a new class of latest generation ferries; with four diesel engines each capable of providing 12,840 kW, she is able to reach top speeds of 31 knots and maintain a cruising speed of 30 knots.

FINCANTIERI: KEEL LAYING FOR FAST FERRY FOR GOTLAND
Today at Riva Trigoso shipyard, which reports to Fincantieri’s Naval Vessel Business Unit, there was the laying of the keel of the fast ferry ordered last August by the Swedish owner Rederi A.B. Gotland. Delivery is scheduled for early 2006.

COSTA CROCIERE DOUBLES ITS ORDER WITH FINCANTIERI: AGREEMENT REACHED TO BUILD THE COSTA CONCORDIA’S NEW SISTER SHIP
The new order will also help offset the sale of the Costa Tropicale to P&O Cruises Australia.
The new ship, to be built in the Fincantieri shipyard in Sestri Ponente (Genoa) for a total investment of 475 million euros, is scheduled to be delivered in the spring of 2007.
