Fincantieri crosses the Atlantic Ocean and lands at the Great Lakes District, United States of America, to acquire the Manitowoc Marine Group, a company that includes two very important shipyards, the Marinette Marine Corporation and the Bay Shipbuilding Company, as well as the Cleveland Shiprepair facility.

Fincantieri is celebrating the centenary year since the establishment of Monfalcone shipyard by holding an exhibition where visitors take a symbolic journey marked out by the various historical, social and industrial developments in the shipyard over the course of time.
